Junior Devops and Cloud Engineer (Remote)

We are looking for individuals who share a passion in these technology platforms, and who might not have all the experience, but has an eagerness to learn to be taught.

Working within the Public Health sector, this Junior DevOps/Cloud Engineer will be involved a number of applications and platforms relating to the health intelligence reporting, data pints, patient facing applications, community health worker reporting systems and Integrated Health Platforms.

You would be expected to support the current and envisioned operations and cloud environments. It would also involve maintaining, optimizing and deploying applications while assisting to chart the path to running on PaaS services that are available on Azure.

In addition, this role would involve helping Developers with their tooling and testing environments, ensuring that deployed applications are well tested and that deployment can be done rapidly and regularly.

You would have an opportunity to build up experience in tools that include Azure, Terraform, Git, Azure DevOps, Bash, Python and Powershell.

Preferred Qualification

An electrical, computer science or software engineering degree/qualification
A degree/qualification in a STEM field with a significant programming or IT component

You would need to be able to show character traits that include the ability to write clearly, diligently contribute to documentation, write unit and end-to-end tests, being helpful and kind and reactive to requests where needed, able to advocate for best practices, and help to ease change and is able to pure a roadmap in the absence of tasks, tickets or supervision, and most importantly, appreciates that weight of protecting people's medical data.
