- Formal Tertiary education:
- Grade 12
- Information Technology Degree / National Diploma Software Development/ Computer Science
- Languages:
- English - Read, write and speak (required)
- Afrikaans - Read, write and speak (optional)
- Drivers Licence: Code 8 (required)
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in:
- Object-oriented development experience in C#, Java or similar languages
- Proven experience in manual testing methodologies and automation testing
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in bug tracking, troubleshooting cloud applications and test case management tools
- Ability to create and execute test cases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The Cloud Software Quality Engineer is responsible for uncovering and maintaining the quality of cloud applications
- This includes but is not limited to manual/automation testing, bug identification and triage, process improvement and test reporting.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure thorough test coverage
- Execute test cases manually and automate test scripts where applicable
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues promptly
- Analyze software requirements and design specifications to identify testable functions
- Prepare and present test reports to project stakeholders, including test summary reports, defect reports, and test metrics.
