Code 14 Driver
Description
- To be courteous to customers and other road users
- Report to Control Room at specified time and collect instructions and paperwork.
- Ensure vehicle is Dangerous Goods compliant and road worthy by conducting a pre-trip inspection on the vehicle and record details on the vehicle checklist
- Report all defects to control
- Fill vehicle up with diesel
- Return all placards and loan items
- Ensure all equipment is removed from the vehicle and safely
- Park your vehicle in the designated parking area
- Switch off your radio
- Report all defects to Control at the end of your shift
- Check what size container to load onto vehicle
- Confirm job completion with control
- Report all arrival and departure times at customers and landfill or recycling sites
- Be available to work night shift as and when required
- Uphold the company image by being neat and presentable, keeping the uniform supplied to you clean and wearing it with pride, and being courteous to customers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- ABET Level 4
- Valid Code 14 (EC) Drivers license and Professional Driving Permit (PrDP-D)
- Valid Conveyance of Dangerous Goods by road training certificate (available for inspection)
- 3-5 years Code 14 ultra motor vehicle driving experience (EC)
- Good communication skill (English)
- Must be able to get to and from work at all times
- Must be 25 years or older.
