CODE 14 TRUCK DRIVER WITH PrDP
SUMMARY AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Code 14 Truck Driver, the primary responsibility entails the physical handling of stock, maintaining inventory control, and supporting proper storekeeping management practices. The key tasks include:
Packing of Stock: Organizing stock in the correct and secure manner.
Warehouse Maintenance: Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse consistently.
Customer Assistance: Assisting customers with loading their orders.
Efficient Deliveries: Executing timely and efficient deliveries to customers, utilizing optimal routes.
Adhering to road rules and regulations, and maintaining punctuality.
Stock Handling: Loading and offloading stock with care.
Order Accuracy: Verifying that stock dispatched to customers aligns with delivery notes.
Document Management: Ensuring proper customer signatures on delivery notes and submitting copies to the administration department.
Collecting orders from local suppliers and managing relevant paperwork, including petrol slips and toll fees.
Vehicle Maintenance: Performing general vehicle maintenance tasks such as filling the fuel tank, maintaining correct tire pressure, and keeping the vehicle clean.
Communicating with the Facilities Controller about vehicle service and repair schedules.
Administrative Support:Assisting with quarterly and annual stocktakes.
Handling any other related tasks on an ad hoc basis.
LOCATION
The primary location is Johannesburg, Gauteng, with additional locations or destinations determined by the Employer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s License and PrDP permit.
- Valid forklift operator’s license (company assistance provided initially).
- Educational level: High school (Matric Certificate) or equivalent.
- Prior experience in stores or warehouse management.
- Knowledge of storekeeping practices and procedures.
