In South Africa, the opportunity to develop the Private Sector Ostomy business is significant by effectively partnering with accounts and by raising the standard of care in providing clinically appropriate, holistic care to Ostomates. To do this, we are hiring a Sales Developer Ostomy Care (Private) based in Gauteng.
The Sales Developer Ostomy Care is responsible for growing and developing the Ostomy Care marketing and business objectives in the Private sector through field-based selling activities, including establishing relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers, product in-services and establishing effective partnerships with the account around Coloplasts end-to-end value offering, incl. both our market leading products and services.
The Sales Developer Ostomy Care is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve standard of care and patient experience by working closely with the account and delivering value through Coloplast functions.
You will be part of the Coloplast South Africa Team and report to the Regional Sales Manager - North.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Detailed account analysis understanding surgery volumes and procedures of the account, mapping of relevant HCPs, product flow from theatre to discharge of patient, competitor analysis and community referral points
- Identify opportunities within the account to increase standard of care of Ostomates using clinical evidence and local guidelines
- Identify opportunities within the territory to provide quality-of-life improving and enabling services for Ostomates, incl. OC & IC Support Centre and patient days
- Engage with HCPs to sell-in Coloplasts value offering, incl. products and services, and to drive formulary compliance by listening and responding to uncover customer needs and delivering clinically and commercially appropriate solutions
- Partner with pharmacy managers and stock controllers to enable effective management of stock to allow delivery of clinically appropriate care
- Gather and provide market intelligence at account and territory level on relevant dynamics of procedures and competitor activities
- Plans and documents daily call routine to ensure appropriate coverage of key accounts given sales time allocation, sales potential, geographical location, development of sales process, and utilize the CRM tool for the management of information, including expense management
- Utilize all relevant tools to maximize growth within the account and territory including, but not limited to, marketing directives, sales reports, and educational materials
- Clear understanding of clinical and technical product knowledge.
- Provides feedback and requests to Marketing or to the organization to adapt tools/strategies to the market demand
- Develop and maintain productive cross-functional relationships to share knowledge and leverage synergies within the organization
We are looking for an experienced, individual who has skills to identify and build business opportunities with key opinion leaders and key accounts in the medical device industry
- Bachelor degree required ideally science based degree.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated successful sales experience (medical field strongly preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate effective time and territory management skills, administrative capabilities and effective written and oral communication capabilities
