The Commercial and Supply Chain Manager for a mining technology manufacturing company will oversee the integration and optimization of commercial strategies and supply chain processes to drive business growth and operational efficiency. This role involves leading sales project direction, negotiating with stakeholders, managing supplier and customer relationships, and implementing supply chain strategies. The manager will also be responsible for enhancing sales performance, pursuing new business opportunities, and maintaining budget control. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of commercial dynamics and supply chain management within a manufacturing context, aiming to strengthen market position and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Developing the commercial strategy and the commercial direction of sales projects
- Negotiating with customers, suppliers and manufacturers
- Building and managing relationships with customers
- Conducting market research
- Monitoring the progress of sales projects
- Collaborate with the sales team, overseeing the sales performance and providing direction to the sales team
- Pursuing new business opportunities
- Monitoring budgeting expenses
- Identifying and managing commercial risks
- Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations (Manufacturing Plant), and Customer Service teams
- Determine key supply chain KPIs
- Suggest solutions for process improvements
- Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Train and evaluate others
- Provide constructive feedback
- Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
- Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Commercial Manager
- Previous working experience as a Supply Chain Manager for 8 years
- Minimum of a relevant degree (eg Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar)
