Commercial/Depot Manager

Our client, a leader in industrial chemical processing and application, specific to road construction, seeks to employ a vibrant, experienced and qualified candidate to join their depot in East London.

Please note that we need a candidate who has a background in road construction or related industry, couple with experience in business/sales development, operations management, contract management, depot/commercial budget preparation, HSE management and staff management.

Key Requirements To Meet For Consideration

• You will have completed either a business or engineering tertiary qualification, coupled with 5-8 years proven leadership experience in a fast paced and highly competitive environment, with preference being in road construction or related industry.
• You will have experience in sales/new business development in the road construction or related field, specifically focused on building relationships with the view to generating revenue and professional networks within the Border region.
• You will have a solid background in preparing and managing budgets, as well as expense management, as well as delivering timeous reports.
• You will be a natural leader, who is able to effectively manage and develop staff, build morale, identify training needs and deal with any IR that may arise in conjunction with Head Office
• You will have a proven background in operations management, being able to identify risk, problem solve and ensure customer satisfaction through service delivery and ensuring product availability from the manufacturing plants and suppliers.
• You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
