Our client, a Commercial vehicle dealership, specializing in medium to heavy duty trucks, urgently requires an experienced Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager (reporting to the Dealer Principal) to join their team in Cape Town.
Purpose Of The Job
Are you able to lead and motivate a highly competitive sales team whilst ensuring the highest standards, quality of work, exceptional service and customer care in the very exciting career of Heavy-Duty Truck Sales? Duties
- To identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry.
- Managing organization sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls.
- Meeting planned sales goals.
- Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.
- Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
- Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
- Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
- Ongoing salespeople training and coaching.
- Developing your sales team through motivation, counselling, and product knowledge education0
- Promoting organization and products in a professional manner.
- Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Any other reasonable and lawful duties required by the D.P. from time to time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Dedication to providing great customer service
- Ability to lead a sales team.
- Ability to learn and understand the industry trends.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to negotiate with customers and/or suppliers.
- Minimum 2 3 years experience in similar role (Advantage)
- Code 8 drivers licence
- Excellent computer skills
- Grade 12 (Matric) / equivalent or higher
- Mentally and physically fit to perform job function effectively
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Experience in managing and directing a sales team
- Commercial Automotive Industry Experience
