Commis - Cruise Ship
  • Assist the chefs in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality of dishes
  • Help with the setup and organization of the kitchen, including stocking ingredients and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Monitor food inventory and communicate with the chefs to ensure that all necessary ingredients are available
  • Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to the chefs in a timely manner
  • Continuously strive to improve your skills and knowledge in the culinary field
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from superiors
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • A passion for food and a desire to provide exceptional dining experiences for our guests
