We are on the hunt for a Commodity Specialist with experience in new metal sourcing within the South African and African region i.e.: Copper, Nickle, Titanium, Lithium, Cobalt, Tantilite, Chrome, Manganese and Vanadium.
Requirements Research and target :
- Green/brown fields in RSA, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Angola
- Scale of mine i.e: reserve, mine life, annual production capacity.
- Quality of product
- Cost competitiveness
- Amongst others
- List mining companies for each metal product
- Meet with relevant mining companies, logistic companies, consulting firms, legal firms, quantity surveys etc.
- Visiting mines or sites for inspections
- Investigate the shortlisted mining companies to verify they meet the companys set criteria, keeping in mind the mining companies credibility, transaction records and reputation, logistics and identify all related players in the supply chain.
