Compliance Analyst - Onboarding

We are seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our Cape Town office on a 6 month Fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the client take-on process including, but not limited to obtaining relevant customer due diligence documentation.

This role will be based in our Cape Town office.

Principal duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Collation of relevant documentation to verify the identity of clients of Carey Olsen.
• Undertaking searches of relevant databases, open-source internet and bespoke internal systems and analysis of results.
• Obtaining clarification from partners and fee earners in relation to the scope of particular matters and advising on CDD documentation required.
• Liaison with other internal and external peers in relation to CDD documentation requirements.
• Preparation of due diligence profile forms for submission to matter partners within the law firm and the Head/Deputy Head of Risk & Compliance.

The successful candidate will have two years' compliance experience, especially in AML / CFT and general on-boarding processes. Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications particularly Excel and Word would be desired.

Conditions of work:

• 37.5 hours per week with 60 minutes for lunch standard working hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
