JOB OVERVIEW:
The Compliance Manager for the subsidiary will oversee regulatory, ethical, and data privacy compliance. This includes scrutiny of promotional materials and ethical standards. The role ensures adherence to national and international laws, industry standards, and corporate policies across all operations, particularly in drug development, clinical trials, marketing, and distribution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Training and upskilling employees on Compliance parameters
- Policies & processes :
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures ensuring alignment to the companies legal framework. i.e purchasing policies
- Ensure the companies adherence to compliance related policies and procedures by developing sustainable Training and guidance on said policies.
- Act as support and first line of defence on all Ethics and Compliance for the business.
- Data integrity
- Ensure data accuracy in maintaining systems and records for audit purposes
- Manage internal and external approval processes
- Maintain accurate, updated paper and electronic files and records for easy retrieval and ensure the two systems interface accurately
- Audits
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure faithfulness to the company policies and SOPs.
- Manage any external and internal audits around compliance and the management thereof
- Identify compliance gaps and take corrective action to remedy these
- Manage implementation of internal audit recommendations
- Trainings
- Attend and complete the mandated compliance training provided by Head Quarters,
- Monitor business compliance to the control frameworks, escalate issues of non-compliance and identify and follow-up on training and communication needs
- Provide ongoing training and guidance on relevant compliance matters
- Provide ongoing education to the Sales force on market conduct best practice and risks

- Become the contact person on all matters relating to Compliance. Serve as an advisor to other department on compliance related queries and questions
- Stay updated with changes in legislation affecting the pharmaceutical industry.
- Collaborate with global teams to align subsidiary compliance practices with overall company standards and to share knowledge and best practice and leverage resources.
- Implement the compliance framework pertaining to interaction with healthcare professionals and organisations
- Ensure those departments that interact with healthcare professionals and organisations understand their key risks, priorities and focus areas from a compliance perspective
- Understand the risks relating to code compliance, internal and external regulations and display proactivity in identifying, mitigating and/or escalating risks to relevant stakeholders promptly

- To ensure compliance of the entity with the data privacy laws and regulations and the standards of the Servier Group
- To inform/advise the entity (as data controller or data processor) on data protection issues/deficiencies and to advise on the measures to be taken as a form of remedy.
- To implement procedures and guidelines related to data privacy
- To act as a point of contact on matters relating to data privacyand to cooperate with the supervisory authority
- To maintain the record of processing activities carried out by the entity
- To participate in carrying out data protection impact assessments and notifying personal data breach
- To provide the data controller with a monthly/biannual/annual report of the activities performed each year
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, or related field.
- Proven experience in regulatory compliance (promotional materials) within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of South African and international pharmaceutical regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Formal compliance qualification through CISA

- Minimum 3 years experience in Compliance (Marketing material) (must have human medicine experience and biologicals)

- In depth knowledge of Regulations, Compliance and Marketing Code of the Pharmaceutical industry
