Your key job responsibilities as the Compliance Officer in Cape Town will include:
- Stay ahead of the game by monitoring and interpreting changes in regulations related to sports betting.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Identify and assess potential compliance risks within our operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance matters. Conduct training sessions to educate employees on compliance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Implement robust monitoring programs to detect and address compliance issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required.
- Foster a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour throughout the organization.
- Lead by example and promote a strong compliance culture from top to bottom.
- Bachelors degree in law, business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, preferably in the gaming or sports betting industry
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
