We are growing our Compliance team and are looking for a hardworking Compliance Team Leader to join our brand new office in Woodstock, Cape Town. You will drive and manage the Compliance and Resourcing activities and across Liquid with the purpose of making compliant and onboarding candidates, in a legal and ethical manner in line with framework regulations, contractual standards and business requirements.

Being proactive in supporting the compliance team of 12 compliance and onboarding coordinators in reducing the time and cost to hire candidates, increasing revenue, and improving profitability through technology, people, standardisation, and innovation of processes.Working closely with team to meet monthly targets, advise and manage the delivery of the service, ensuring the team meets its legal, statutory, and regulatory obligations.

Every day you will

  • Manage our team of compliance and onboarding coordinators, motivating the team to achieve, and be a point of escalation for any queries
  • Provide effective direction guidance, training, and development to empower the team, creating a knowledgeable and efficient support service.
  • Responsibility for overseeing the pipeline management of all candidates in both pre-registration and prospect pipeline, ensuring that candidates are contacted within a timely manner.
  • Managing and monitoring the daily workload plan to deliver optimal performance and KPI achievement ensuring the team achieve performance objectives and exceeding the candidate experience.
  • Produce and review statistical information and performance reports, using data to support the performance management of the team offering insights and recommendations
  • Help build and develop KPI reports and scorecards to capture and identify trends in performance and improvements using this to deliver coaching and upskilling

To thrive in this role, you must ideally have
  • The ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team with experience managing a small to medium sized compliance/recruitment team previously (Minimum 6 people)
  • An enthusiastic and committed approach, with the ability to drive performance and provide support and development to the team
  • Demonstrable experience in a recruitment/compliance environment
  • The ability to demonstrate verbal and written communication skills to engage and build relationships, to enhance candidate experience strengthen our reputation
