We are looking for a competent Working Supervisor to coordinate operations and oversee workers on a number of projects in South East/West London and the southern Home Counties.
You will be the key person for the completion of the project. As the working construction supervisor you have a solid background in your trade. You will be flexible and have the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organised with paperwork, time, materials and labour.
- Coordinate tasks according to plans and trade available
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Ensure labour and resources are adequate
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on progress to the project Contracts Manager
- Proven experience as a construction foreman
- Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and H&S guidelines
- Ability to read drawings, plans and schedules
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Problem-solving abilities
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Skilled in your trade (electrician, bricklayer, carpenter etc.)
- SSSTS qualification and CSCS card
