Job Purpose
- To Deliver Competitive Growth by building solid relationships
- To Grow Value Share by creating market awareness on Dulux products and services by increasing number of technical specifications written; continuous tracking of projects; lead follow ups and ensuring project conversion rate is maintained
- Improve Operational Efficiency by focusing on activating non - market share customers
- Conduct Building Surveys and Inspections
- Compile tailor made Technical Specifications
- Provide colour guidance and assistance
- Support to Sales Team and other functional departments
- Build solid relationships
- Develop and maintain a relationship with Architects, Managing Agents, Quantity Surveyors and Interior Designers
- To source new business through a process of specification up to point of sale
- Direct contact with customers in the field, representing AkzoNobel in a professional manner
- Specifications
- Write specifications for the specifying customers within an agreed time frame
- Focus on projects as per defined project criteria
- Monthly Reporting against agreed standards
- Project Tracking
- Effective project tracking and reporting on project pipelines / leads, tracking project during and post painting phase
- Aggressively drive and follow up on leads generated by lead provider companies
- Regular meetings with lead provider companies
- Sales administration - maintaining updated Call Reports, Customer Contact Sheets and Customer Files
- The successful candidate should be in possession of a relevant National Diploma (ideally in Sales and Marketing). University degree will be additional advantage
- Relevant experience in a FMCG or architectural environment
- In addition the candidate should demonstrate knowledge of MS Office Packages
- Ability to develop new business and to build relationships with clients
- Candidates who lack formal qualifications, but have the necessary experience, skills and knowledge in the required competencies may also be considered.
