The Product Department deliver award-winning small group adventure holidays and youll work within our busy team to ensure captivating images are chosen to highlight and showcase the best of each destination and trip. This is a creative role responsible for sourcing quality images, editing and uploading these to our website and improving our storage of digital assets. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Product Manager and in collaboration with a Product Content Manager to help upgrade and freshen up the look and feel of images across Exodus. The content Executive will also collaborate with Product Managers to ensure accuracy of images and with colleagues in our Marketing Team to ensure images are digitally stored and accessible to all.
What you will be doing:
- Curate and enhance imagery across the website, ensuring our digital content meets the highest standards of consistency and quality.
- In depth research to source the best images from leaders, staff and local suppliers with a focus on improving imagery.
- In depth research to source the best images from stock image libraries, tourist boards and hotels for all trips, accommodations and destinations.
- Editing images as needed using Photoshop or Lightroom; re-sizing, improving contrast/colours and ensuring consistency of tagging and sizing.
- Upload and publish imagery to our website using the WordPress CMS system ensuring consistency of sizing, labelling and quality across the site.
- Improve the organisation and storage of image libraries; correctly catalogue images within our in-house digital assets library.
- Work in collaboration with Product Team to identify the greatest need for improved imagery across trips/destinations and tackle projects in order of commercial importance.
- Experience in a similar role within the travel industry and/or a very strong passion for travel and photography.
- Strong knowledge of photography: you understand what makes a captivating image and can bring the Exodus brand to life through your image selections.
- Experience using Photoshop or Lightroom to edit images.
- Pro-active approach to work, a natural self-starter with initiative.
- Primarily this is an image driven role but if you have the ability to generate good quality written content as well this would be a bonus.
- Hybrid role - two days a week in our office in central Cape Town.
