Digital Marketing Agency requires the services of a Content Manager. Below are some of the elements that are critical to this role: A content manager's role is to develop a consistent brand identity for a company and establish its online presence. This job involves overseeing marketing strategies to engage customers and ensure that they have a positive view of the company and its products or services. They use information, such as metrics and statistics about the target customers' demographics and preferences to create multimedia content that raises brand awareness.
Skills & Requirements:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in English, marketing, communication, or journalism
Three to four years’ experience in this role
A proven record of creating effective content for specific audiences and meeting deadlines
Attention to detail
Creative and conceptual acumen
Technical and creative writing abilities
Basic understanding of SEO principles in content creation
HTML and WordPress working knowledge
Daily responsibilities:
Developing a content strategy for all brands.
Writing and producing content for blogs, podcasts, websites and other multimedia channels.
Managing a content team, therefore creativity and leadership skills are essential to this role.
Proof reading content before it is published ensuring it is in line with brand and content strategy.
Work alongside web designers, web developers, graphic designers, writers, and social media managers
The key focus of the role is as follows:
Content Creation and Quality Control:
Creative evaluation of all content leaving the agency
SMS’s, Emailers, Banners, Blogs (long-form copy), articles, videos, infographics
Asks the critical question- Has the correct copy and creative been conceptualised for the job?
(Colour, composition, spec, word count, brand identity)
Evaluate, proofread, write/sub-edit and enhance writer’s content
Evaluate, proofread and supply critical feedback on video content
Clarity of messaging
Word counts
SEO/Keywords
Research and Curation:
Manage content calendars for social media
Keep on top of industry trends and happenings for all types of content formats
Hold information sharing sessions/training with relevant team members to ensure that the best content standards are met consistently.
Brief Evaluation and interpretation:
Bringing together relevant parties for brainstorming and clear briefing purposes when required.
Host content and creative briefing/ideation sessions where necessary.
Conceptual Evaluation:
Has the brief been realised/achieved in the best way possible?
Is the messaging clear and accurate?
Are there any potential pitfalls/PR concerns?
Does it meet the branch/brand requirements?
Does it exceed the branch/brand requirements?
Tier 2- Host content creation brainstorms, information sharing, guest talks and workshops.
