Extruder Component Development and Tooling Maintenance - Design new Die Plates/Profiles according to new/revised Profile Specifications for profile extruders. Assist with the design and manufacture Pre-Die tooling for profile extruders. Ensure proper industrialisation of New Extruder Components as per Quality Procedures. Optimisation of existing Extruder tooling to ensure that all components conform to design specification. Maintenance of extruder Die plate and Pre-Die tooling. Optimisation of dies and pre-dies. Recipes Creation/Modification during shift.

Product/Process & Industrialisation - Support the Die Shop coordinator and PE Engineer with the industrialisation of products and processes in the extrusion area. Execute quality inspection and test plans. Dispositioning of off-standard products. Dispositioning of off-standard products.

Production / Quality / Efficiency Improvements - Ensures Productivity -Implement processes that produce efficiently to the required output and to specification. Ensures Production Quality -Implement and maintain processes that produce products to required quality objectives. Equipment, Tooling & Process requirements are aligned and suitable for achieving product requirements. Fully Industrialised Products & Processes. Product allocation & cycle optimisation. Corrective actions to reduce scrap Yields: Corrective actions. Implementing corrective actions / measures during shift to reduce rework.

CNC Machine - Design Die Plates on document and CAD IT system. Download CNC programmes once design is completed on CAD IT System. Maintain tooling on CNC Machine. General maintenance and operation of CNC Machine. CNC Setup and Basic diagnosis.

Audits, control & Reports & documentation -Generate Die design documentation, update documentation during design process, filing of design records. Use Standard IT systems to maintain records of development activities. Generate structured shiftily reports. Problem solving/incident report opening. Process control checks. Process Stability Monitoring.

National Diploma in Polymer Technology or equivalent/ certificate in CNC operation and setup

3 years relevant experience, CNC Production Processes, Tool Manufacturing and maintenance

Experience in Tyre Manufacturing Environment will be an advantage
