Job Summary
EQ8 Recruit has been engaged to help recruit a Continuous Improvement Engineer. This role will report directly to the Tooling Manager.
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible to Plan and schedule new boat tooling schedules based on the project schedule to ensure moulds
are available for use as required.

In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:-
- Minimum Qualifications: Diploma in Engineering Field.
- Ideal Qualification: Btech or related degree
- Experience: minimum 3 years experience related to field within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform on a strategic level within the operation.
- Have a background in relevant industry.
- Ability to compile budgets, timing plans.
- Ability to plan and organize self and teams to achieve deliverables.
- An excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
- Capable of training, supervising and managing staff.
- Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Good reporting skills.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office programs and in particular Microsoft Projects
- Needs to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-
Operations Management
- Support the Tooling Manager to ensure plugs and moulds are manufactured efficiently in order to achieve set hand-over target.
- Support the Tooling Manager to maintain plug and mould manufacturing standards to meet customer acceptable demands.
- Review plant, facility & equipment fitness for function and facilitate improvement where required.
- Compiling detailed material requirements per mould.
- Determine skills requirement and map manufacturing process per mould for accurate financial budgeting in future projects.
- Track material and labour expenditure against budget.
- Compile new tooling budgets for new projects.
- Compile Return on Investment calculations to justify budgetary allocation for implementation.
- Conceptualizing, testing and implementing improvement projects to support tooling in reducing mould making hours and cost.
- Participate in R&D projects relating to tooling to determine process improvements.
- Research alternative plug making technology and facilitate trials to determine viability for implementation.
- Research alternative mould making technology and facilitate trials to determine viability for implementation.
- Facilitate training and facility and equipment acquisition for implementation of new projects.

A market-related salary based on the level of responsibility for this role is on offer.
