This will be an 18 months contract position based in the Durban office for the first two months and thereafter onsite in eSwatini and reporting directly to the Project Manager.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and maintaining project specific master contracts in conjunction with the Project Manager and Engineers;
- Generation of project enquiry documents and RFQs, commercial adjudication reports and recording of commercial minutes;
- General day to day contract management and assessment of claims;
- Generation of or input to project reports;
- Report any commercial risk issues to the project team;
- Process Contractor claims/invoices and maintain contract administration schedule;
- Follows and complies with Company, project and project controls function procedures and techniques;
- Assist in preparing contract change notices, monitor contract performance, including the reporting and status contractor and owner deliverables;
- Assist in adjudication of all prepared quotations;
- Maintain an audit file for each contract.
- Have an appropriate Project Management / Commercial / Legal / Diploma or Degree;
- Have strong experience in FIDIC contracts compilation and administration (NEC would be an added advantage)
- Have a minimum of 10-15years project experience in senior contract administration / commercial role;
- Be Computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite;
- Have effective Interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills;
- Be prepared to travel within and outside RSA borders.
