The Contracts Specialist Will Be Involved In The Following
- Drafting, evaluation, negotiation and execution of different contracts.
- Serve as the point of contact for contractual matters.
- Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.
- As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to project managers.
- Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverables, invoicing, etc.) and ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal.
- Commercial Law degree (Preferably also admitted as Attorney).
- Legal, construction contracts with commercial experience necessary.
- Knowledge of New Engineering Contracts (NEC 3) and the execution of EPC/EPCM projects.
- Knowledge of other forms of contracts/other standard forms of contracts will be an advantage.
- Experience with the following will be advantageous:
- Joint Ventures or Consortiums
- Dispute resolution with subcontractors and clients
- Negotiation with insurers on the full insurance portfolio (including short term, PI, performance and retaining bonds, etc)
- Contract negotiations with clients / suppliers on term contracts for the group.
- Legal interfaces with all stakeholders in the group.
- Excellent communication and telephone skills in the English language as this person will be responsible for contract review and drafting.
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
- Organized and self-disciplined.
- Be able to work as a team and under pressure.
- Be able to work with multi-functional departments/offices and people.
- Valid driver's license (Code B/EB) with own transport.
