Purpose Statement

To effectively manage, monitor and execute the administration and control of the non-resident function in terms of strict adherence to all the Banks policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements which involves monitoring of deposits/ credits into the non-resident accounts and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience

Minimum:
  • At least 1 year banking experience in Forex/Exchange Control or Compliance and/or Non-Resident.
  • 1 year exposure in respect of Exchange Control Rulings and Regulations.
  • Experience in dealing with clients through various communication channels.
Ideal
  • 2-3 years previous experience within Business Banking Forex/Exchange Control or Compliance will be an advantage.
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
Qualifications (Ideal Or Preferred)

Knowledge

Minimum
  • Knowledge and understanding of and Exchange Control and/or Non-Resident.
  • Basic knowledge of the Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers (CEMAD) as far as non-residents monitoring is concerned.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Association Rules & Regulations, Associations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end client satisfaction cycle.
  • Knowledge of rules relating to Banking / Financial applicable legislative requirements.
  • Computer Literacy: MS Office Suite (intermediate).
  • Understanding of business principles (to be able liaise and have conversations with business).
Ideal
  • Previous knowledge of Capitec Bank services, products, policies, and procedures will be advantageous.
