Job Overview:We are seeking a diligent and attentive Control Room Officer, ideally suited for a disabled person in a wheelchair, to join our team to monitor and manage vehicle activities through surveillance cameras. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observation skills, the ability to remain focused for extended periods, and exceptional decision-making abilities. As a Control Room Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of vehicles, personnel, and facilities by promptly identifying and responding to any irregularities or incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor live feeds from surveillance cameras to oversee vehicle movements and activities.
- Identify and report any suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, or security breaches.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities, incidents, and observations.
- Operate computerized systems and software to access camera feeds and manage data effectively.
- Coordinate with security personnel and relevant stakeholders to respond to incidents promptly.
- Communicate effectively via radio or telephone to provide necessary information to on-site personnel.
- Conduct regular checks and inspections of surveillance equipment to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies or emergency services as required during critical situations.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for handling emergencies and security incidents.
- Provide support and assistance to other control room officers or security personnel as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or surveillance systems are advantageous but not essential
- Proven experience in surveillance operations, preferably in a control room environment.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security threats or irregularities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in operating computer systems and familiarity with surveillance software.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
