Control room Guarding Division
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of manpower operatives in the field.
- To maintain 24-hour communication with all sites and with all supervisors/reaction officers, investigators and managers.
- Supervise control room vehicle tracking and guard patrol system to insure consistence performance (Instacom, Bloodhound, and Signal Tower, Cell-secure Base station QCIC vehicle tracking)
- To report and record all incidents and accidents to management in an accurate manner.
Alarm and response centre
- Assist with dispatching of armed response vehicles SAPS and emergency services.
- Compile incident reports.
- Schedule technicians to do maintenance on faulty alarm systems.
Fleet control
- Plan the delivery and collection of security equipment by accessing and interpreting the mobile supervisor, determining the availability of fleet and drivers, compiling, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of the site visit plan.
- Track and monitor routes of vehicles on the company internal tracking programme.
- Ensure that the refuel processes and procedures are completed correctly for the designated vehicle fleet.
- Proactive monitoring of driver working hours to avoid violations (incl. adherence to sleeping and site monitoring procedures).Manage the day to day performance of drivers.
- Conduct briefing and de-briefing sessions with drivers and ensure all documentation is verified in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure effective and efficient communication to drivers by issuing special instructions, liaising between drivers and responding to fleet alarms, handing over to the next shift, and escalating problems to the relevant manager.
- Ensure driver's adherence to health and safety standards, initiatives and legislative requirements.
- Manage safety of the fleet by issuing and keeping records of protective equipment, ensuring the correct usage of protective equipment, keep an accurate register of all safety equipment and ensure defective equipment is reported on.
- Manage fleet maintenance by implementing checks and controls for tyres, implementing service places for vehicles, ensuring that break downs of vehicles are speedily attended to, implement preventative maintenance plans for vehicles, and ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy.
- Complete incident or accident documentation as and when required.
- Generate relevant reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis as required.
Control Room Management
Manage all:
- Rostering; Overtime; Leave; Training schedules; Quality Assurance; Hiring of all staff for control room.
- Creating a positive work environment, Motivating and encouraging staff, Staff support, coaching, mentoring
- Conducting all discipline in the department
- Handling of escalated queries.
- Setting up meetings, Sop’s facilitating of presentations and reports,
- Training of new staff.
- Operational Support.
- Maintain all electronic/IT system used within the control room assist with technical queries.
- Advise on trends relating to incidents, vehicle movement, and guard absenteeism.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to operational director
- Assist with HR issues (pay queries, load leave)
