The Control Tower Controller is responsible for monitoring, managing, and optimizing end-to-end supply chain or operational activities through a centralized control tower. This role ensures real-time visibility, rapid response to disruptions, and seamless coordination between stakeholders to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and improve overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Monitoring & Coordination:
- Oversee and manage real-time data flows within the supply chain network to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery accuracy, lead times, and inventory levels.
- Track shipments, production, or other operational movements through digital dashboards and tracking systems.
- Identify and address disruptions, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies proactively.
- Act as the first point of contact for escalation in case of operational disruptions.
- Analyze root causes of delays, shortages, or operational failures and coordinate corrective actions.
- Liaise with logistics providers, internal teams, and external partners to ensure problem resolution.
- Implement contingency plans and alternative solutions in case of unforeseen circumstances.
- Provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding operational performance.
- Generate and analyze reports to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between logistics, procurement, customer service, and warehouse teams.
- Identify areas for process enhancement using data analytics and industry best practices.
- Support automation and digitization efforts to improve control tower efficiency.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives to optimize supply chain or operational workflows.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and compliance standards across all operational activities.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity within the control tower system.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and insights.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience working with control tower solutions, ERP systems, or logistics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS, WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and make real-time decisions.
- Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics, transportation management, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Certifications in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCMP, Six Sigma).
- Experience with automation, AI-driven logistics tools, or digital transformation projects.
- Multilingual proficiency, particularly in languages relevant to key supply chain regions.
