Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in representing and overseeing the execution of our real estate development projects. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Civil Engineer will ensure that all project engineering aspects align with our strategic objectives, manage the relationship with external consultants and contractors, ensure compliance with project requirements, and oversee project progress to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the deliverables of external consultants, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment with project goals and specifications.
- Monitor the development schedule and program to ensure timely project delivery.
- Participate in meetings with external consultants, architects, and engineers to discuss project requirements, progress, and technical issues.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to design specifications.
- Ensuring the optimized integration between external consultants, architects, and contractors.
- Coordinate with external consultants, architects, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and timely resolution of technical challenges.
- Act as a key point of contact for technical queries and updates, maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Identify potential technical risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate issues and ensure project success.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration among project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
- Prepare regular progress reports, technical documentation, and presentations for the companys CEO and management.
- Monitor project metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project health and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in civil engineering in residential real estate development - a must.
- Proficient knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in Mauritius.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
