The client is seeking a dynamic and driven Manager Corporate Finance (Clean Energy) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have over seven years of experience in originating and executing renewable energy projects, with a strong background in project finance, M&A, and restructuring within the renewable energy space. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and financial acumen to successfully close deals.

Deliverables
- Project Origination: Identify and originate renewable energy projects across Africa, focusing on equity, debt, and restructuring opportunities. Financial Leadership: Lead the financial aspects of renewable energy projects, including structuring, negotiation, and closing deals. Fundraising: Engage with investors, lenders, commercial banks, DFIs, and equity investors to secure financing for projects. Technical and Financial Integration: Combine technical knowledge with financial requirements to develop robust project proposals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the renewable energy sector.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, financial institutions, and technical partners.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance and technical teams to ensure seamless financial execution of projects.
Experience required
- Over 7 Years in originating and executing renewable energy projects, with strong experience in project finance, M&A, and restructuring.
- Background in engineering or a related technical field with exposure to fundraising and financial structuring is a bonus.
- Deep understanding of the renewable energy landscape in Africa. Established relationships with commercial banks, DFIs, and equity investors focusing on Africa.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, project finance, and investment analysis.
- Experience with off-grid projects is also beneficial.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead financial aspects of projects and teams to successful outcomes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. Motivation: Highly motivated and hungry for success, with a strong drive to make an impact in the renewable energy sector.
Operational Requirements
Fluent in English, both orally and in writing- Knowledge of French or a third language is a bonus.
