Purpose

To assess costing solutions by researching and utilising tools to optimise cost reporting and analysis.

To generate systems and costing models based on the actual activities of the business area, consulting and liaising with managers to identify cost drivers in their areas.

Are You Someone Who Can

• Analyse activities, products, and services of all cost centres to identify critical cost drivers in collaboration with business managers.
• Find situation-specific cost solutions whilst using technology and systems in the most efficient way possible.
• Consult with line managers to plan, control and report on financial activities and performance of the area.
• Manage and report on cost usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters.
• Generate systems and tools that enable line managers to understand the cost drivers of all activities in the area.
• Build and calculate cost models and work within established work and service processes.
• Analyse previous data to motivate future budget requirements.
• Research, develop, and implement costing models for the business.
• Build, run, and execute profitability models and provide required reports for business.
• Provide feedback to the business on monthly and ad hoc analysis and reports to support decision making.
• Comply with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements and adhere to processes and procedures related to area of specialisation.
• Report on transactional and process activities within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making.
• Promote teamwork amongst peers and team members.
• Ensure customer excellence through interaction with internal and external customers throughout all business activities.
• Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development.

You Will Be An Ideal Candidate If You

• have a Bachelor of Commerce is Cost and Management Accounting
• have 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
