Costing Engineer

You Will Have The Opportunity To

In this exciting new role, you will work closely with the Cost Engineer to develop and maintain a cutting-edge costings database, ensuring that the company's products are manufactured and installed efficiently and effectively.

Deepen your knowledge of the company's product range and the fabrication processes required for their manufacture
Prepare RFQs to sub-contractors and suppliers, expediting quotations and ensuring that cost estimates are delivered on time
Develop an understanding of the company's existing costing methods, models, tools, and software to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Develop and implement automated costing models.
Attend site inspections and contribute to the achievement of the company's sales objectives

Additionally, you will have the chance to analyze variances between estimated and actual cost estimates, update costing methods and models, and even develop and implement automated costing models.

Requirements

A qualification in Mechanical Engineering with around 5 years of experience in Project Costing / Estimation / Tenders / Proposals
A strong background and knowledge of market-related rates for the manufacture and installation of steelwork, plate work, pipework, and mechanical components required for the company's products.
Strong Excel Skills
