Description
Our Country PC&L Division is looking for an PC&L Improvement Manager for its 4 locations in South Africa based in Uitenhage.
The Main Missions Of The Role Are To
The role of the Improvement Manager, in the context of the deployment of the Faurecia Excellence System, is to drive the implementation of Production Control & Logistics (PC&L) tools and methodologies within a plant.
- Ensure COUNTRY plants implementation of PC&L methods and tools.
- Provide COUNTRY plants with PC&L standards: Material Information Flow Analysis (MIFA), Milk run, leveling, etc.
- Define PC&L deployment objectives on a semi-annual basis and build up an action plan in cooperation with the plant improvements and plant PC&L managers.
- Set up the means to achieve the action plan and ensure results.
- Communicate Improvement initiatives: train and coach plant employees when necessary and carry out progress workshops in accordance with the plant PC&L manager.
- Support management in the implementation of PC&L tools and provide technical support to other functions.
- Propose, in coordination with the Production System Efficiency coordinator, visual management systems in order to improve reactivity in case of problems.
- Identify and implement best practices.
- COUNTRY reporting to the COUNTRY PC&L Manager for PC&L kpis
- Supporting PC&L Managers with inventory convergence and driving of PC&L action plans
- Budget preparation with PC&L managers with coaching and training to Managers
- Yearly objectives preparation for COUNTRY PC&L community
- Tracking and implementing of savings for Freight and packaging for COUNTRY
- Training and coaching of plant users in SAP ERP system
- Coaching users in PC&L Kpis to track
- Support users with PC&L ERP errors and any other PC&L coaching
- Deploy FES requirements with plant improvement and WH Managers
- Ensure plants are deploying Forvia systems and applying it in daily life
- Auditing of plants to PC&L systems (7IB/7DB/Countryety, etc)
- Ensure Know-how capitalization and check that standard forms are used.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be
- Degree in engineering/ BCOM Logisctics
- Experience in production in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of quality matters
- International mind set, overseas experience a plus
- Minimum bi-lingual (English required)
