Position Description
Job Purpose
We are looking for a Credit Controller reporting directly to the Group Credit Manager based at Bridgestones Head Office in Midrand. You will be responsible for collecting debts from our company debtors, evaluating new credit requests, ensuring timely payments of company debts, processing invoices, maintaining sales ledgers, and providing administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse and evaluate the credit worthy of our customers, analysis of financial statements, contacts with our credit insurer
- Establish and monitor credit limits
- Active collection of outstanding invoices by phone, e-mail, or other means (e.g. automated dunning procedures)
- Continuously working on the DSO
- Follow-up the whole credit limit process; releasing the orders, blocking the customers, updating credit limits.
- Deciding on block shipments in consultation with the Credit / Finance manager.
- Minimize bad debt exposure
- Close cooperation with our internal stakeholder
- Report generating, writing, and compiling
- Statements
- Reconciliation Sheets
- Remittances
- Unpaid Report
- Requesting of outstanding invoices
- Close cooperation with all relevant internal stakeholders
- Transparent and prompt communication regarding credit analysis with internal and external stakeholders, clients, customers, and vendors,
