CREDIT MANAGER
OBARO HEAD OFFICE

Responsibilities:
- Credit risk management that includes preparation, assessment, agricultural economic analysis, evaluation and selection of applications within approval mandates;
- Evaluation and analysis of credit policy taking into account business risks in a changing environment;
- Analysis of financial statements, management statements, cash flow projections, securities, debtors and creditors;
- Development of information systems to promote efficiency and service delivery to clients;
- Handling and structuring of specialized financing transactions and arranging appropriate securities;
- Liaison with the Legal and Collection Division as well as the management of high risk customers in order to ensure that the percentage of bad debt within the managing company guidelines;
- Liaison with internal and external role players;
- Profitable management of the finance department within the budget guidelines;
- Grow existing and new debtors within the company's budgetary guidelines and risk profile by identifying opportunities where product ranges can be extended to customers;
- Development of new financing products;
- Comprehensive knowledge of the National Credit Act and compliance with regulatory legislation.
- Maintaining expert knowledge on appropriate legislative amendments, industry best practices and providing proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders; and
- Timely handling and handling of applications to ensure customer satisfaction.
Skills, Qualifications and General Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification;
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English;
- Appropriate BCom qualification with agriculture and financial background will be preferred;
- 2 years of credit risk management experience, preferably in the agricultural sector;
- Computer literate and knowledge of the MS Office package; and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
