We are currently looking for a driven Customer Marketing Graduate. You will initiate, plan and achieve Haleon Consumer Healthcares ambition of becoming one of the most innovative, best performing and trusted Consumer Healthcare Companies in South and Southern Africa.

You will support the Commercial Marketing function to commercialise Marketing Campaigns and be the bridge between Marketing and Sales. The role involves working cross functionally with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Above Country Comex teams as well as third party service providers to meet business objectives. Whats not to like?

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

Point of Sales Campaign Management
  • Create execution plans by customer, across multiple 3rd party suppliers to ensure effective campaign management.
  • Re-negotiate annual contracts and scope of work.
  • Brief Shopper agency (Integer/Hot Spot) and manage end to end creative artwork process.
  • Manage 3rd party POS manufacturing (POINT) to deliver complex, multi element campaigns on time and in full, whilst keeping all internal and external stakeholders updated on progress, risks and opportunities.
  • Managing promotional budget and monthly financial reviews with Finance Marketing.
  • Managing instore execution with Rainmaker, Primedia, Moving Tactics (Clicks digital Screens), X Procure (Dischem Media), Megavision, Barrows (Hot Spots, GE Cladding)
  • Create, managed and co-ordinate NPD bi-monthly steering committee (audience Sales Director, Commercial Excellence Director, Marketing Manager, Channel Managers, Field Sales)
  • Managed POS delivery and Storage (Incl expired stock and POS) with Vikela.
  • Manage NPD listing process. Internal PDFs, Customer Listing documents, Pack shots, listing samples for both sales and customers.
  • Create and execute tactical campaigns
  • Working with Point and internal field sales team in order to produce distribution lists for each POSM element.
  • Tradeshow facilitation (Booking stands and creating artwork according to retailer specs and samples for display).
Insight and Analytics
  • Create and manage an NPD (New Product Development) tracker for distribution by regional sales manager, by account, by SKU.
  • Create Must stock lists using a core assessment tool, that looks at size, performance, margin, strategic fit and retailer margin.
  • Market share and SOS (Share of Shelf) updates on orange stores (Priority stores) data to be used by the KAM during their account plans.
  • Pull data to assess and recommend priority store list by account for unique campaigns for each brand.
  • Adhoc analysis requests to identify distribution opportunities and size of the prize.
Innovation
  • Assist with NPD launch internally to sales and key stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparation of Trade Presenters for NPDs.
  • Briefing and sharing all necessary documents with M2north on upcoming innovations where distribution tracking is required.
  • Prepare Excellent trade launch plan for new products with Market share targets, above and below the line plans.
  • Preparing post launch reviews 3 months & 6 months to review NPD performance vs set KPIs presented internal to key stakeholder.
Cross functional collaboration
  • Manage weekly status meetings with 3rd parties and internal stakeholders
  • Present at cycle brief (Pharmacy & Retail) to align the field sales team on the category strategy for a specific period.
  • Support with the development of SOPs and Protect GSK audits
  • NPD systems order testing working with KAM and Supply chain to ensure systems are ready for orders on Ship to trade date.
  • Pricing
  • Part of project team involved in annual price increase cycle.
  • Working on price ladders, historical performance, historical price increases.
  • Administration
  • Manage all Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Receipting, Accruals
  • Managing the Silo brand portal ensuring hi-res images are updated with most recent pack shots.

Education required:
  • Completed degree in either Sales / Marketing / Business (Essential).

Language required:
  • Written and spoken fluency in English.
Other requirements:
  • Program commences 1st of February 2025, must be able to join.
  • Problem solving.
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure.
  • Analytical and be delivery focused.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of with BI tools and data visualization technologies (e.g., Qlikview, Excel, PBI).
  • Strong understanding of data visualization, and data management concepts.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
