In this role, you will act as a Site Supervisor in large sites (e.g. Microsoft data centers) from site preparation through deliveries, construction and testing phases and as such has the authority to coordinate the daily operational works at site Represent Eaton and as such has the authority to coordinate the daily operational works at site meetings where planning, coordination, and safety are reviewed. Critical to the mission is to ensure all safety (EHS) and quality requirements met.
For distant location work (EMEA), the Site Manager is expected to work on rotation over 6 weeks on site - 1 week home.
Responsibilities
- Health and Safety, Environmental process on site: as such, the site manager initiates, monitors and reviews work procedures, holds toolbox talks, daily point of work risk assessments and safety briefings with its team. Site Manager ensures that a safe working environment is always provided and ensuring any necessary documentation such as, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RA/MS)
- Represent the Project Manager on site and during local coordination meeting.
- Coordinate / and direct site works by Eaton and Eaton third party suppliers on a daily basis.
- Highlight gaps in resource (quality and quantity) to Project Manager. Aid planning to ensure Eaton adhering to schedules of works.
- Maintain close cooperation with Project Manager and site service coordinators to form an effective team for executing Eaton's scope of supply.
- Provide regular (daily preferred) written updates to project manager what works performed, issues, planning for next period of work.
- Ensure effective use of resources to help reach profitability expectations. Raise gaps and constraints that are unforeseen formally to PM to allow cost recapture.
- Identify and notify extra-work from parties request and document them to the Project Manager
- Serve as testing auditor of test forms and test practices of the on-site testing/certifying /commissioning agent.
- Be on site as per customer schedule each workday. For example, could be 7:30 am to 4:00 pm every weekday.
- Lead the Eaton on-site service team, and Eaton vendor workers to follow all defined procedures so as to achieve quality, cost, delivery and employee safety goals. Coordinate with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements.
- Organize and carry out site aspect of training for different parties as required.
- Ensure that all Eaton service works are done following the instructions to meet high quality standards. Deal with all complaints in a professional and timely manner, by involving the wider team while respecting all people on site.
- Manage any other responsibilities and duties as assigned or agreed by Project Manager or to meet local requirements.
- Act ethically and according to Eaton Values & Philosophy following the company rules and policies, i.e. leading by example and ensuring that also own team members and vendors are following these rules
- Strong electrical background
- Electrician training and/or project working experience ideal
- 3-5 years of experience in similar roles
- Knowledge and experience with Health and Safety and Quality Management on construction site.
- Experience in power distribution construction site.
- Experience of executing delivery projects, electrical work and field service & commissioning work.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring, cabling documents.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Office and MS project.
- Knowledge in Data centre space in a plus.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Good people skills and Experience of working with customers is critical.
- English language at advanced level is a must.
- Other local language skills may be required for long duration work in specific locations.
- Flexibility and adaptability - eagerness to learn all aspects of job is required for this role.
- Willing to work on rotation 6 weeks on site - 1 week home.
