This role is supporting customers in countries of Southern Africa as well as Gauteng. Candidates will be field based but living in Johannesburg area.
The main products that will be supported are Perkin Elmers Chromatography product ranges (GC; GCMS; LC; LCMS).
We welcome applications from experienced Field Service Engineers, but we will also consider lab scientists with proven experience of chromatography techniques who are considering a career change. Full product training will be provided.
Role Description
- Performs field service, carrying our repairs, maintenance and installation of instrumentation and their accessories.
- Provides onsite user training on defined product groups.
- Ensures accurate documentation is in place and of high quality.
- Relevant education (e.g. Degree/Diploma in Electronic Engineering/Chemistry or equivalent )
- 3 5 years of experience in a Customer Service Environment, preferably with analytical instrument applications or proven lab experience with chromatography techniques
- Good communications skills
- Strong customer service ethic
