Although I have an Infectious Diseases and Immunology background at MSc level, I am also an activist at heart. From the age of 16 and for the past 11 years, I have been an active member of The Inner Circle/ Al - Ghurbaah Foundation, an LGBTIQ+ organisation, primarily, but not limited to, supporting Muslims who are marginalised for identifying as different sexualities and gender identities.
