I am keen to obtain any such position as Electrical Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, C&I Engineer, Instrument Engineer.
I am a holder of a BSc Honours in Electrical Engineering acquired in year 2000. I have a combined fifteen years of work experience from construction, mining, smelting, heavy manufacturing and power generation industries. I am diversely experienced and knowledgeable in both aspects of heavy current electrical and light current instrumentation and control systems.
In my early years in the profession, I had a stint in the construction industry with MHK Partnership as a Junior Electrical Engineer and was involved in design of electrical installations. I later on joined ZIMASCO, a chrome mining & smelting organization for a two-year graduate learner-ship programme. Here I gained a wealth of knowledge in heavy current electrical systems in typical mining and smelting operations.
I worked at Sable Chemical Industries, a manufacturer of fertilizers and chemicals where I Initially held the position of Assistant Electrical & Instrument Engineer before being elevated to Instrument Engineer. At some point I joined Kadoma Paper Mills as the Electrical & Instrument Engineer before moving back, on request, to Sable Chemical Industries.
In the past five years I have mainly been in the power generation industry working directly under Eskom as an external engineer at the new built Medupi, Kusile and Ingula power stations as well as at Matla power station. Based on my demonstrated capability and my diverse experience I was appointed to be the subject matter expert responsible for developing training modules and for training learner electrical operators for Kusile power station.
