I am currently looking for a supply chain/pharmacist or quality position within the pharmaceutical/ FMCG/ chemical field. In my previous position I was Head Planning & Logistics in a pharmaceutical manf organization. I am a qualified pharmacist 5(BSc.Hons.Pharm). I also hold a Btec Degree in Quality Management and a National Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
My key responsibility as Head of Planning and Logistics was to ensure continuity of supply and the scope of my responsibility included using estimated demand to plan the master production schedule which then fed into the materials requirements plan (MRP) where planning of production requirements for raw materials, components, intermediate materials and semifinished materials, for processing in production to meet Finished Goods requirements for customer demand. I routinely ran and analysed demand management and forecasting as part of my supply chain function. Capacity planning was a constraint and I was constantly seeking ways to maximise throughput and output by optimising usage of manufacturing resources, all geared towards meeting customer needs. I used SAP as a tool to facilitate, monitor and control the supply chain activities in the organization. I was the SAP super user for the PP-PI and IM/MM modules.
My studies provided the theoretical support that enabled me to apply the principles of supply chain on a daily basis. Supply chain management encompasses the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing, procurement, conversion, and logistics management. I used these principles to add value in terms of quality, costs and lead-times in my SC function as well as in a product costing project I am leading. Quality within the supply chain is my passion and getting product from raw materials through to finished goods efficiently and cost effectively is what drives me.
