Joy Muller

I have always been passionate about becoming a nurse, my passion is what motivated me to volunteer at Tygerberg Hospital (Cape Town) when I was at school. After completing my Senior Certificate at school, I successfully obtained a diploma in Ancillary Care at Cura Nova. It proved challenging to find a placement in the health care environment; however, I did not give up on my dream of nursing. Even when I was employed in the retail sector, I focused on furthering my health care training. I completed the following courses at The Order of St John: Community Health Care, Home Based Care and First Aid Level 1. In April 2019, I relocated to Johannesburg to be a part of the uNowanga Programme. On this programme I am learning German to B2, gaining additional experience in geriatric care and developing work readiness skills.
