Objective
I am a very detailed worker trying my best to give good results. I enjoy what I do and do it with passion. I love working with mechanical equipment and repairing it. I am not a person that would say no to a task if I don’t understand it I’d rather as someone to demonstrate it so that I can learn how it’s done so the next time I want/need to do it I’ll know how. Maintenance Manager (14/02/2022– Present) Employer – E and A Belt Sales
I am currently employed at E and A Belt Sales cc as a Maintenance Manager.
My responsibilities and duties are :
I maintain all the company vehicles (cars, bakkies and trucks) and heavy duty equipment ( Excavator, Truck mounted cranes , Forklifts and tractor). This includes but not limited to:
• Servicing of all vehicles
• Heavy duty vehicles
• General upkeeping of trailer bodies
• General mechanical maintenance of all vehicles (complete overhaul of engines, replacement of brakes and clutches.
• Maintenance of all air and brake systems on trucks and trailers.
Operating of heavy duty equipment such as excavator, truck mounted crane and forklifts.
Moving of trucks and trains in and around the yard.
Assessing and reporting problems on vehicles and trailers to management.

While working at S.A truck bodies after receiving my Trade certificate they moved me to Charlie ( part of the factory) and made me the foreman. I had to manage all the jigs ( welding, doors, bending of the door panels, assembly and grouping and cleaning of the doors ) so production can continue at a good pace.
Apprenticeship ( July 2017 – April 2021 ) Employer - S.A Truck Bodies (Route Management)
In 2017 I started at SATB. Started my basic and advanced welding and worked under an apprentice and learned skills from him. My duties are but not limited to:
• In the first 3 months I learned to build drop side trailers.
• After 3 months I moved to RVB and learned how to build truck bodies. ( Flat bed , drop side , roll back , sloper bins , dolly trailers, topliners and livestock bins )
• Got drawing plans from there followed the plan to build new trailers on my own with an assistant.
• Went to Unique and worked under an Artisan and learned how to build special need trailers. ( Link cattle tailers, Grain carriers , aluminium panel cattle trailers, flat bed link trailer , drop side link trailer , drop side tipper link trailer ens.)
• Moved to training work shop. Creating my own plans and rebuilding second hand trailers and rebuilding written off trailers, servicing axels and air systems , installation of air systems and electrical, rebuilding of suspensions , fitment of new suspensions and air suspensions.
• Moved to Engineering – building of jigs , overhead cranes and crane rails for a factory.
