I currently work as a Seabird Rehabilitation intern at SANCCOB, where I assist in rehabilitating, medication administration, food preparation, clean hygiene, seabird handling, feeding and tubing. I have completed my studies in Marine Science at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2021. I have worked as a Work Integrated-Learning student at Zandvlei Nature Reserve. Whilst working there, I have assisted with alien clearing using fish-trekking, and plant rehabilitation. I have learned the importance of doing plant restoration. I have assisted in doing Environmental Education in numerous occasions. I have assisted with data monitoring, collecting, capturing, report and research writing, and filing. With my educational background, I am adept in research and survey by capturing, recording and monitoring the data of biophysical factors of the marine environment and estuarine water using various instruments such as CTD, YSI, etc. I have developed strong analytical skills in order to record and monitor the captured data using various statistical analysis tools such as Excel, Ocean Data View, Surfer, SPSS, and Python. Specifically, my experience with writing various academic/scientific reports has equipped me with reading and writing skills. I have obtained a certificate in Facilitator Training Programme in 2022. I consider myself as a focused, ambitious, flexible, highly motivated, and highly organised person with a great interest in Marine Science, conservation, research, and environment.
