ABOUT THE TEAM
TFGs Information Technology team is responsible for the companys technological systems and the maintenance of its digital and technological infrastructure. By selecting future-fit technology and methodologies, they help the business meet its strategic objectives. They assess our business landscape and our market to ensure adaptability, scalability, expansion, and risk reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security appliances for network security.
- Design and implement secure network architectures, adhering to principles like the Zero Trust model.
- Utilize encryption protocols to secure data in transit and at rest.
- Configure and maintain Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) for secure remote access.
- Harden network infrastructure by implementing security best practices.
- Use Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools for monitoring and responding to security incidents.
- Develop and execute incident response plans.
- Conduct penetration tests to identify and address vulnerabilities in network systems.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Ensure timely application of security patches to network devices.
- Bachelor's, Honours, or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in network engineering and cybersecurity roles.
- Knowledge of industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, CISM.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex security concepts.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing security challenges.
- Ability to collaborate with other IT teams and departments.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with cybersecurity trends.
- Cloud Security (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Scripting and Automation (e.g., Python).
- Network Forensics.
