Contribute toward project data processing efforts that include validation, summarization, aggregation, analysis reporting and classification. Analyze and interpret routine data using analytics tools to turn data into information. Develop analysis and reporting capabilities through data visualization and analytics dashboards and guide and mentor junior data analysts where needed. Monitor performance and quality control plan to identify improvements and contribute output towards report writing and the development of presentations for different audiences. Implement technical tasks to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design, and present it in ways to help people, businesses, and organizations make better decisions. Participate in supported district meetings to present analysed workplan, cascade and report findings to guide or improve the operational decision-making process this will include internal and external staff from DoH.
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with the district teams to derive insights from the data and address data quality queries
- Participate in data processing analysis and visualization activities that contribute to donor reporting activities
- Perform data integration tasks for qualitative data from multiple health Information Systems into useable information that will drive program impact
- Participate in supported district meetings to present analysed workplan, cascade and report findings to guide or improve the operational decision-making process
- Support the writing up of programmatic best practices, success stories and abstracts
- Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
- Removing corrupted data and fixing data errors and related problems
- Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data
- Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to help identity and correct code problems
- Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
- Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data

Essential qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science and Demography or a related field
- Over 6 years of experience in a data analyst role or similar.

- Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, R, and Python
- Adept at using data processing platforms like Excel, Python and Microsoft Power Query and Power Pivot
