About The Role
As a Data & BI Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the entire Data Engineering and Business Intelligence (BI) system landscape. Your role will involve ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical systems that support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in SAP Data Services, SAP BI, or SQL databases would be an advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence (BI) Systems, or Data Management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Data Services (ETL) for data integration, transformation, and automation.
- Extensive SQL programming experience across multiple DBMS platforms (views, stored procedures, DDL, DML).
- Hands-on experience with SAP IQ Database Server and SAP BI Platform Servers (versions 16.1 and 4.3).
- Proficiency in server monitoring, patch management, system upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with enterprise system security, user access management, and change control processes.
- Experience in SAP BI Platform Information Design Tool (IDT) and Web Intelligence for report development.
- System Administration & Data Management:
- Ability to manage and maintain virtual server environments for SAP DS, SAP IQ, and SAP BI Platforms.
- Expertise in ETL processes, data pipeline management, and performance optimization.
- Experience in data governance, quality control, and automation strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in a complex data environment.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including ICT, business intelligence, and database administrators.
- Excellent communication skills to document processes, train users, and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Adaptability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
