What You Will Accomplish Here
The Data Entry Operator works within the Quality Assurance (QA) Department and is responsible for entering and editing complex information from a variety of internal and external sources. The QA Department focuses on letter writing, data entry, and translations for certification reports.
This position will effectively support the QA team by focusing on the following:
- Maintains knowledge of GLI products/services, database procedures, and certification letter folders
- Updates jurisdictional information in the database against certifications in an accurate and efficient manner
- Creates projects in the Submissions Database from requests received from a variety of sources, such as emails, FTP downloads, etc.
- Operates peripheral equipment and runs verification programs to obtain a diverse collection of software signatures
- Processes draft and secondary portal reports, closing out files for withdrawal
- Researches daily database queries, correcting any errors or discrepancies
- Assists in troubleshooting database related issues by utilizing various GLI resources
- Maintains a daily log of submittal/non-submittal mail received
- Archives and retrieves media and hardware, as requested
- Answers internal database related questions, as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- National Senior Certificate is required
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Must have the ability to communicate, both orally and written, with other members of the team
- Must have the ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines
- Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness
Schedule: Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
