KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide actionable insights to enhance customer targeting and segmentation strategies
- Build predictive models to forecast customer behaviour and optimise marketing efforts
- Advanced predictive and prescriptive analytics to inform strategic marketing decisions
- Drive innovation by identifying new data sources and methodologies for improved customer understanding
- Mentor and upskill data analysts to facilitate their transition into data science roles
- Ad hoc Responsibilities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Operations Research
- Minimum of 5 years experience in data science, with an aptitude for predictive modelling and machine learning
- Strong proficiency in Python or R
- Expertise in BigQuery SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets) / MS Excel
- A basic understanding of code repositories, git and CI/CD
- Experience with machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, etc.).
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as GCP, Hadoop and Spark
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g.Tableau; Looker Studio, etc.).
- Strong Mathematical ability
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to tackle ambiguous business problems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for exploring new data sources and methodologies.
