Data Compliance Team Leader

This role reports to CI & amp; Performance Manager and is a unique opportunity to work in a high-performance

Specialist B2B & amp; B2C environment supporting the Takealot group.

Your responsibilities will include:

Team performance management
  • Achieve, monitor and exceed agreed team performance goals (i.e. Average handling time, ticket
aging, quality monitoring etc)
  • Implement action plans to resolve performance barriers as needed
  • Address and support significant Data subject requests issues i.e. unusual contact volumes,
unusual contact drivers
  • Work closely with the Legal team supporting compliance in the group
  • Work closely with website security engineering teams across the group
  • Work closely with the WMS & operation teams handling operational compliance and provide
technical support.

Daily Operations Management:
  • Provide significant support to the Data subject compliance team when there are technical issues
or new feature releases.
  • Manage Compliance tools i.e All incoming channels
  • Manage team admin i.e. leave schedules, absenteeism etc.
  • Provide weekly team reports & set daily - weekly team meetings & huddles
  • Manage productivity in teams across functional areas
Stakeholder management:
  • The role will interface frequently with the Group Product & Legal teams in the development and
release of new product features and legislative changes.
  • The role will interface frequently with Engineering & Finance team to support in resolving
investigations and breaches identified.
  • Furthermore, the role interacts daily with the Customer Service teams.
Process Improvement:
  • Regularly review and analyze key metrics in Data Compliance to identify root causes and
formulate solutions to improve performance and customer experience for data subjects.
  • Ability to develop and set up reporting for metrics, whilst maintaining existing reports.
  • Managing data subject feedback into continuous performance improvement processes.
  • Manage and Report on internal audit procedures conducted regularly in relation to internal
compliance practices including SOPs & Policy changes for new and existing features across

brands.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and improvement of new and existing Data Subject
support processes & tools.
  • Leading small project improvement initiatives as required.
  • Review company SOPs & Policy in relation to the compliance policies.

Qualifications & Experience required:
  • Matric
  • Relevant Undergraduate degree / diploma / certificate (advantageous)
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
  • Minimum of 1- 2 years experience managing a team of 7+
  • Experience in an e-commerce, startup or tech environment (advantageous)
  • SQL Skills (advantageous)
  • Zendesk Skills (advantageous)
