Accountable for validating, processing, and managing all returns efficiently and accurately, ensuring seamless operations and inventory accuracy at the Distribution Center (DC).
Job Purpose: To oversee the validation and processing of returned goods, maintain accurate records, coordinate with various departments, and contribute to continuous process improvement within the DC.
Key Accountabilities
Proof of Delivery (POD) - Truck Return to Debrief
- Validate and reconcile successful deliveries in SAP, ensuring accuracy in load reconciliation and closure.
- Physically inspect and verify Clean POD (Received in Full) against invoices and customer claims.
- Verify claims between the log and Return Area physically.
- Conduct Load Recon (by reason)/Closure in SAP, ensuring accurate documentation of claims and returns.
- Receipt returned stock into We Think system promptly and accurately.
- Conduct physical inspection of returned items, differentiating between saleable and unsaleable goods.
- Move saleable returns to designated bins efficiently.
- Check case and pallet returns to validate stock to be booked back into Finished Goods, Damages or Quarantine
- Offload stock to returns cage, conducting thorough verification against documentation.
- Physically check all stock returns for quality and completeness.
- Complete Returns Log (Register) accurately, detailing all validated returns.
- Process Uplift Requests received via email promptly and accurately, coordinating with relevant departments.
- Verify uplifted items upon truck arrival at the DC.
- Physically inspect returned items, ensuring compliance with uplift requests.
- Move sellable returns to designated bins in We Think system.
- Scanning, filing and archiving of relevant documents.
- Providing general administrative support where required.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Food, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
- Enforcement: Enforce all food safety and health regulations, policies, and requirements at all times to guarantee a secure work environment.
- Personal Hygiene: Maintain exceptional personal hygiene as per the organizations code of conduct.
- Contamination Control: Raise awareness about potential physical product contamination and implement control measures to prevent it.
- Health and Safety Measures: Take reasonable precautions to prevent health and safety hazards.
- Knowledge and Compliance: Stay updated with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures. Enforce compliance with legislative and statutory requirements, as well as GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Training: Attend and enforce the implementation of learnings from training sessions related to Quality, Food Safety, and Health and Safety.
- Housekeeping: Maintain high levels of cleanliness and orderliness within the work environment.
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential)
- Up to 3 years of experience in Operational Execution in FMCG industry
