Position Summary
As Demand and Supply Planner you are responsible for creating the demand forecast for the coming 12, 18 and 24 months based on Sales data. You will do this in collaboration with the Demand and Supply Planner, Marketing, Sales and Finance, by using historical data, trends and statistical tools. Besides this, you plan and evaluate promotional volumes with the Marketing and Sales departments. You actively contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and represent Supply Chain.
A day in the life of a Nespresso Demand and Supply Planner
- Assist to maintain and improve a Demand Plan for a portfolio of products and customers, which also includes the full ownership of generating and maintaining total forecast on product level.
- Ensure the alignment of this Demand Plan with internal and external partners through the Monthly Business Planning and Collaborative Planning processes.
- Identify and manage exceptions and monitor performance in order to continually improve the quality and reliability of the Demand Plan and the Companys ability to sense and respond to changing circumstances.
- Collect Information and Assumptions about events, activities in relation to promotions, product launches, customer/distribution changes that form important part of demand plan
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to manage portfolio lifecycle, such as new product launches, packaging changes, phase-in/phase-out, and product discontinuation. Ensure that demand is appropriately forecasted and maintained in all circumstances
- Assist to generate and maintain the Forecast and finalize the total volume forecast
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive effective Monthly Business Planning process to reach consensus demand plan. as a primary input to the Dynamic Forecast.
- Collaborate with peer Planners to share best practices, liaise with Business Excellence and Sales Management to drive continuous improvement and improve ways of working and Demand Planner.
- Degree in Supply Chain management or equivalent
- 3 5 years experience in Demand and Supply Planning
- Experienced preferably in a high-end luxury brand or FMCG
- Good command in English communication
- Strong analytical and communication skills, attention to details, result focus.
